All new clients can make an appointment with Psylutions for Development without a referral. This means the client will pay the full fees without any rebates. We have HICAPS facilities available to claim any private health rebates.
Psylution Worx and Psylutions for Development are fully registered providers for the NDIS. The NDIS provides information, referrals, support to access community services and activities, personal plans and supports over a lifetime. For further information please contact 1800 800 110.
The Mental Health Care Plan is a treatment plan written by a GP, Paediatrician or psychiatrist and entitles each individual to up to 10 rebated sessions per year to see a Psychologist.
The PDD plan is accessible to any child under the age of 12 who has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. Your child will be entitled to a Medicare rebate for 20 sessions of OT, Speech Therapy and/or psychology in any combination. This is a one-off plan and cannot be renewed each year.
Families can claim a Medicare rebate on 5 sessions of Speech Therapy, OT or Psychology each year. Your child needs to have a long term condition in order to be eligible and this plan is prepared by a GP. Medicare stipulates these sessions can be no longer than 30 minutes.
Some workplaces offer an Employee Assistance Program, which entitles employees and family members to a specified number of sessions for short term intervention. To access these sessions you will need to go through your workplace HR manager of EAP provider.
DVA helps serving and ex-serving personnel, veterans and their family members who are Gold Card or White Card holders. If you have a Gold Card all mental health treatment services are covered by DVA, if you have a White Card only specific conditions are accepted. A GP referral is also required.
VVCS is a counselling service set up by Veterans offering psychological services for serving and ex-members of the Defence Force and their families. To be eligible for this program clients must contact VVCS and complete the intake process.
