There are a number of disorders included in the learning disorders section. A diagnosis for a learning disorder may be made if an individual’s level of achievement is substantially below that expected of their age, schooling, and level of intelligence. The learning problems will most often interfere with academic achievement or activities in daily life that require reading, mathematical, or writing skills. There are a variety of valid statistical approaches for professionals to detect and quantify a learning disorder (that is not a result of a neurological or other medical condition) in your child.
